Experience the rewards of making a difference in older people’s lives by showing compassion and care.The opportunityThe Royal Freemasons community is looking for experienced and motivated Cook to join our team at Mount Martha Residential Aged Care Facility located in Safety Beach.An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Cook to work in a team of hospitality professionals on a casual basis. At Royal Freemasons our residents look forward to nutritious and delicious meals designed and cooked by our chefs and enjoy a warm and welcoming dining experience.It is really important that you have a warm and hospitable personality and can relate to older people and deliver a wonderful customer service experience.Working within Hospitality services as the Cook your responsibilities will focus around providing a high level of compliant and quality meals for the residents. Reporting to the Chef Manager, you will be involved in the preparation, presentation and service of meals to residents and ensure the highest levels of service in food preparation, hygiene, kitchen services and hospitality standards are met.Requirements for the position
- Trade Certificate in Cookery or higher-level qualification
- Food Safety Supervisors Certificate
- Work experience in Residential Aged Care as Cook or similar experience within Hospitality/Health of at least two (2) years.
- Experience providing meals for aged residents with multiple diagnosis who require specific consistency of food and fluid.
Other requirements
- It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
- All Aged Care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
