The successful candidate will be working in a small but close knit team (district cancer service directorate) in friendly and welcoming environment. The directorate oversees strategic planning for the Hunter New England (HNE) Cancer Network and position will also support the standard 7 District Patient Blood Management Committee (Transfusion Medicine chair and officer).The position is based in The Lodge on the JHH Campus near the Newcastle Private Hospital. The position supports the Director of the HNE Cancer Services, the HNE Cancer Information Manager, and the HNE Cancer Services Manager.About the role:
The position is very interesting and dynamic as the needs for the cancer services directorate are very fluid and changing. The position needs to be responsive to external and internal stakeholders, including 8 HNE cancer sites, the networks and streams, the executive and operational managers. External stakeholders include Cancer Institute NSW, Cancer Council, HMRI, Cancer Australia and many NGOs such as McGrath Foundation.To be successful in this role, you must have good communication skills and be a fast learner, independent thinker and a problem solver. Specific programs can be learned on the job, such as TESL and rostering.You will be supported by the Cancer Services team and by other similar administrative roles with the HNE campus and onsite in the lodge.Benefits:
