The Head of Finance will have the following responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Financial Management:
Carry-out accounting, tax management, financial planning, and reporting for all Luxembourg-regulated entities.Coordinate with outsourced accounting teams in the UK and Netherlands and oversee insourced teams in Germany and France.Ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws and fiscal regulations (Luxembourg, Germany, France) Maintain a working understanding of UK and Netherlands fiscal regulations although filing responsibilities will remain with outsourced teams.Provide input and support to the CFO for the annual budgeting process.
- Year-End Consolidation:
Lead the year-end consolidation of all entities in Luxembourg, Germany, UK, France and Netherlands, ensuring accuracy,compliance with regulatory standards and strong co-operations with auditor.Prepare financial statements and ensure timely submission of reports.
- Tax Planning & Compliance:
Develop and implement tax-efficient structures in collaboration with the family office.Oversee tax planning for Luxembourg ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Investment analysis:
As Head of Finance for Luxembourg, a desire to provide support to the senior leadership team on new acquisitions and disposals including establishment of tax efficient structures will be highly desireable.
- Leadership & Team Management:
Provide leadership and direction to the insourced finance teams in Luxembourg, Germany, and France.Foster a culture of autonomy, initiative, and proactive problem-solving, setting a positive example for the team.Work closely with the CFO and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Financial Reporting & Strategy:
Provide support to the CFO for the preparation of monthly portfolio reporting to the CEO of the Family Office.Contribute to the development of the overall financial strategy for the fund, providing insights on cash flow, liquidity, and asset management.
- Special Projects:
Assist with special projects as needed, working closely with the Managing Director of the Luxembourg office, the current Head of Finance during the transition phase and the Asset Management team in Luxembourg.Support ongoing financial analysis and decision-making for high-value initiatives.Join a European Family Office|Pivotal role responsible for leading Finance & Accounting FunctionsYour profile, as the Successful Candidate:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a regulated fund or professional service provider.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg tax and fiscal regimes, with exposure to German and French tax structures and an awareness of UK and Dutch fiscal regimes.
- Experience in financial management, consolidation, mergers and acquisitions and tax planning for multinational entities.
- A proven leader with experience managing teams across different cultural contexts (Luxembourg, Germany, France).
- Technically strong in accounting and finance, with the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Autonomous, driven, and capable of solving problems before they escalate.
- Fluent in English and French, with knowledge of other languages (German) being a plus.
