Job DescriptionTitle: Locum Carlow & Kilkenny (contractor)Who are we?Spectrum Health are one of Ireland’s largest Primary Care and Allied Healthcare providers, operating both a nationwide network of clinics and an online Virtual Service.We provide GP, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, and Ergonomic services to our patients, on a private, corporate or insurance cover basis.Who are we looking for?This is a unique combined role for both Male and Female Locum Doctors living in the Carlow/Kilkenny area!We are seeking both a Male and Female Doctors to commit to 3 days per week, working onsite in a Nursing home based in Kilkenny and a Community Healthcheck clinic based in Carlow Town.Ideally the doctor should live within one hour drive of Carlow/Kilkenny and be able to provide their own transport.What is the role and what are your responsibilities:Contract type: Contract for servicesLength of Contract: 11 months rolling contractHours : Carlow 9am to 5pm Kilkenny 8am to 4pmDays: Monday (Kilkenny), Thursday and Friday (Carlow)Systems: Tpro & Socrates-systems training will be providedNumber of residents in Nursing home: approx. 90Number of health checks to be completed: minimum 8 per dayPay: €80 per hourConsultations for both services will consist of Physical Examination Consultation including:Health Issues & SymptomsMedical HistoryAllergy HistoryMedicationLifestyle AnalysisFamily Medical HistoryBlood PressureWeigh-inBody Mass IndexSpirometryRespiratory TestTesticular ExaminationBreast ExaminationVision AssessmentHearing AssessmentCardiovascular EvaluationJoint & Muscle EvaluationRespiratory EvaluationCentral Nervous SystemAbdominal ExaminationWhat qualifications & experience do I need?
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorship of a work permit
- Must be able to self-commute to work locations
- Active IMC registration
- Own medical indemnity insurance
- Minimum 3 years post graduate experience, not including internship in General Practice or Family medicine.
- Knowledge of various acute medicine/medical problems, experience in handling psychiatry, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecology, medical and surgical areas
- Be analytical and have excellent attention to detail
- Have strong ability to communicate
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Be result driven
