In a city where the post-quake rebuild is in full swing Tūranga is a stand-out example of modern architecture, world class customer experiences and community facilities. We are now looking for an innovative, community focused Programming Specialist to join our team of creatives on the Auahatanga|Creativity floor to inspire discovery and lifelong learning.About the role | Ko te mahi neiAs a Programming Specialist you will:

  • Develop and deliver learning activities for a wide cross-section of the community
  • Facilitate access to technology and experiences from 3D printing to storytelling and support the delivery of innovative programmes throughout Tūranga
  • Act as a mentor by supporting librarians to deliver programmes
  • Work closely with the Programme Design and Delivery Team to ensure you continually develop and grow your own skills

About you | Ko Koe TēneiTo succeed in this exciting role you will have:

  • Experience of delivering programmes in a high-tech environment to a range of ages
  • At least two years experience working in a public library or other GLAM sector organisation
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for helping others
  • Strong organisational, planning and collaboration skills
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be confident in its application to everyday library practice
