About the Organization: Pak Mission Society (PMS) is a national relief and development organization established in 2004 and registered on 13 February 2008 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 at the Office of the Provincial Registrar Joint Stock Companies & Societies, Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.Pak Mission Society was initiated by a group of Christian professionals whose collective vision was to bring hope and love by responding to human suffering and disasters through emergency relief efforts and delivering long-term rehabilitation and development programs.Pak Mission Society was established to reach and serve unreached and underprivileged communities regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, religion, and social background.The organization aims to catalyse holistic transformation and development through relationships based on dignity and respect and the transparent, fair, rights-based allocation of relief and development resources.Since its inception, Pak Mission Society (PMS) has focused on working with communities in Pakistan’s most difficult-to-access and impoverished areas such as District Kohistan and District Shangla in the north of Pakistan, District Sanghar in Sindh, District Rajanpur in Punjab, District Peshawar in KP and District Lasbella in Balochistan.Job Summary: The Project Manager will oversee the ERDO Phase-2 Project, ensuring successful implementation and management of all activities aimed at improving livelihoods, social cohesion, and business opportunities in Jaranwala, Faisalabad. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing project resources, and ensuring compliance with project objectives and donor requirements.The job holder will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, networking, and coordination at the district level. Additionally, this role will involve providing financial and administrative support to the PMS main office in Islamabad for this project.Job Responsibilities:1. Project Management:

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all project activities are executed according to the approved work plan and within budget constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure that project activities align with the established objectives and goals.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the Project as per project SOPs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate gender-sensitive approaches into the project.

2. Networking and Coordination:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with local stakeholders, partners Churches, and relevant organizations.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events related to the project.
  • Facilitate collaboration between project team members and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the community, Church leadership, government line departments, and local stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of social cohesion and development initiatives.

3. Financial Support:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
  • Monitor project expenditures and maintain financial records.
  • Process financial transactions and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

4. Administrative Support:

  • Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, documentation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics for project-related activities and events.
  • Provide administrative to the provincial manager for this project.

5. District-Level Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day project activities at the district level.
  • Ensure that project activities adhere to relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of district-level operations to the Provincial Manager.

6. Project Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare project progress reports and presentations.
  • Ensure the project-related documentation, database, and filing.
  • Help in gathering data and information for project evaluations and audits.
  • Support the Provincial Manager in tracking project milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare regular reports for achievements, challenges, and lessons learned for management and relevant stakeholders.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders and partners as needed.

8. Problem-solving and Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and address potential project-related issues and challenges.
  • Work with the project team to find solutions and implement corrective actions.

9. Resource Management:

  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

10. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit regular project reports to the CEO’s Office and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including financial records and progress reports.

Job Specifications:Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/Development Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Preference shall be given to the Master in Sociology, Social Work, and Development Studies.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, budget management, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with the local context and culture of Jaranwala, Faisalabad is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge in written and spoken English and Urdu.
