The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food services warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team, optimize processes, and contribute to the overall success of our food distribution operations.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Inventory Management:**
– Oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of food products.
– Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems.
– Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
2. **Team Leadership:**
– Lead, motivate, and train warehouse staff.
– Assign tasks and set performance standards.
– Foster a positive and safe working environment.
3. **Regulatory Compliance:**
– Ensure compliance with local and national food safety regulations.
– Coordinate and participate in regular inspections and internal audits.
– Implement proper food handling practices to prevent losses and waste.
4. **Process Optimization:**
– Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
– Implement technology and systems to streamline warehouse management.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth supply chain.
5. **Logistics Coordination:**
– Collaborate closely with the logistics team to plan and coordinate product distribution.
– Ensure timely and accurate delivery to internal and external customers.
6. **Supplier Management:**
– Work with the procurement department to maintain a consistent supply of products.
– Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
7. **Data Analysis:**
– Utilize analytical tools to assess warehouse performance and propose improvements.
– Generate regular reports on inventory status and operational KPIs.
**Requirements:**
-Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain and Logistic or Material Management
– Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including order picking, packaging, and distribution.
– Bilingual English/Spanish spoken and written preferably.
– Lean Six Sigma Certification
– Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
– Excellent organizational and leadership skills
– Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food industry.
– Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
– Leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
– Proficiency in inventory management systems and related software.
– Analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
